I donned my custom-made trans-colour dress/outfit and attended The Rainbow Fayre; at the event, people were lovely and complimentary, wanting to say 'Hi' and have photos taken with me. My travel to and from the event was more interesting as local people were happy to see me, again complimentary, cheering and waving as I walked.
At the tender age of 63, I attended my first Pride event last month. Transliving International were taking part with a stall for the day and required a few unsuspecting girls to help out with advice, leaflet distribution and, more importantly, the erection of the Transliving gazebo which had only recently been recovered from the Black Country. Courtsey of Transliving resident photographer, Richard, I found myself one of the unsuspecting crash test dummies who volunteered to help and I’m very glad I did. The forecast was clear and on our trip over to the heart of Essex it was obvious that it was going to be a very hot day.

Here are a small selection of photos from the May club night.
Transliving will be at several pride events this summer to raise the profile of Transliving, give out flyers and maybe sell some magazines, events tickets and memberships.
Can you help out on one of our stalls? It could be for just a few hours at one event, or maybe you can help at more than one.
Thank you to everyone who completed the feedback forms (either the online or paper version). We've now collated the results and looked over the comments.
Afternoon tea in a posh hotel!! Well, what a sheer delight! I didn't know there were so many teas to choose from! Brands Hatch Hotel & Spa is a great venue, with welcoming staff who made you feel special. There were precision-cut sandwiches, delicious scones with jam and cream (which goes first?) and a fabulous selection of cakes to indulge in when we were already full!
It’s Thursday 16 March 2023 and I’m booked to attend the annual TLI Spring weekend at the Haddon Hall Hotel in Eastbourne from tomorrow (Friday 17th).
After a great Friday night I was then preparing for Saturday evening in my new dress, a gorgeous black shift dress with light pink tape work by Roman Originals. I only just managed to get my name added to the list for the Miss TLI competition with only an hour to go before the main event (thanks to Rachel and Shane).
My name is Nicola Devreux. Nicola is the name that my parents would have given me if I had been born a girl. They already had my two brothers and my sister and they wanted a daughter to even things up. It ends up that they did get what they wanted.! I live in rural Kent and am now in my fiftieth year of dressing. I have never wanted to transition , even though I have the means to do so. I enjoy having the best of both worlds .
